The heart and soul of our bakery, Elena brought her family's traditional Italian recipes to Portland in 1952. Her sourdough starter is still the foundation of every loaf we bake today.
Marco Bella
Elena's son Marco learned the craft at his mother's side and has spent over 40 years perfecting our artisan bread techniques. He starts work at 4 AM every day to ensure fresh bread for opening.
Sofia Bella-Chen
The third generation of Bella bakers, Sofia trained in French pastry techniques in Lyon before returning to Portland. She specializes in our delicate pastries and stunning custom celebration cakes.
James Rodriguez
